Greetings Blue Raider Class of 2023, and welcome to It Matters!
We are so excited to have you as part of our True Blue family. We know you may encounter some challenges in your transition to college, but the faculty and staff at MTSU are here to support you every step of the way. One way we hope to do so is by facilitating healthy behaviors throughout your time as a Blue Raider. Research shows that healthier students are better students who are more productive, have more energy, and earn higher GPAs, and we want to make healthy choices become easier choices.
To that end, we are asking all freshmen to complete a brand new program called It Matters. It Matters addresses two areas of personal health, alcohol use and sexual responsibility. Through It Matters, we aim to provide you with information and resources on topics that are often avoided or overlooked in high schools, but that have a lot of influence on your personal success as a student and in life.
If at any point as you complete It Matters you would like additional resources, feel free to check out the following campus services. These departments are open to all MTSU students and demonstrate our commitment to help you succeed.
Best wishes to you for a great year!
